Forks

This important Olympic Peninsula logging community takes its name from the forks of the three nearby rivers: the Bogachiel, Calawah and Soleduck.

The westernmost city in the contiguous United States, Forks began in the late 1870's as an agricultural community, commercial logging following a decade later.

In addition to providing the town's name, area rivers support spectacular runs of steelhead trout during the summer and winter. Other recreation opportunities include hunting, fishing, and hiking.

Sparkling lakes, ocean beaches, rain forests, mountain glaciers and rushing rivers are all in close proximity.
