Benton City was incorporated on July 2, 1945. It is situated on the Yakima River west of the Tri Cities, nestled between the Horse Heaven and Rattlesnake Hills.
Benton city is an agricultural community of about 2600 residents within easy driving distance of the Tri-Cities - Richland, Pasco and Kennewick and within an hour of Yakima.
