West Region

The West Region of Tennessee (bordered on its west by the Mississippi River) offers Southern culture in several forms. The city of Memphis boasts at least three musical claims to fame: Sun Studio, the birthplace of rock 'n' roll; Elvis Presley's home, Elvis Presley's Graceland; and numerous blues clubs on Beale Street.

Other attractions of the region include a railroad museum in Jackson that was once the home of Casey Jones; the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center in Brownsville; and Civil War battlefields in Shiloh, Parkers Crossroads and Fort Donelson.
