Oakridge

Oakridge lies east of Springfield in the foothills of the Cascades. Lookout Point & Dexter Lakes and Hills Creek Lake provide a multitude of water sports for the area. Salt Creek Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in Oregon, is 16 miles east on Highway 58.

Oakridge was first named Big Prairie and later Hazeldell. But in 1912 the City changed its name to Oakridge and now has a population of 3,145 residences.

Oakridge is "The Mountain Bike Capital of the Northwest." There are close to 30 trails in the area for people of all ability levels and there are also nearly 500 miles of single track trails within one hour of Oakridge. Oakridge is part of the Eugene-Springfield, Oregon metro area.
