Lincoln City is located in Lincoln County north of Newport, between Gleneden Beach and Otis, along Highway 101 and the Pacific Ocean coastline.

Five surrounding communities merged in 1964 to form Lincoln City. These former cities were Oceanlake, Delake, Taft and the communities of Cutler City and Nelscott.

Built in 1914, Drift Creek covered bridge is one of the oldest bridges in Oregon. Lincoln City is supported by thriving tourism-related activities.
