Welcome to the Bonosearch page for Medical in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Medical, Oklahoma

Oklahoma City, the state capital, is located in central Oklahoma in Oklahoma County and is its county seat. The city is located at the crossroads of Interstate 44, Interstate 40 and Interstate 35. In addition, historic Route 66 passes through the city.

"Modern history" in Oklahoma begins in the 1830s when the U.S. government forcibly relocated Indian tribes from east of the Mississippi River into the "Oklahoma Territory". When an 1889 presidential proclamation opened that area to settlement, 10,000 settlers flocked there the first day in the first of 5 such land runs. Oklahoma City subsequently became the state capital in 1910.

Home to Oklahoma City University, the U of O Medical Center, Oklahoma City Community College, and Tinker AFB, the city has a dynamic and stable economic base.

The North Canadian River flows in an easterly direction through the city before emptying into Eufaula Lake.

Museum buffs will enjoy the Central High School Museum, the National Softball Hall of Fame & Museum, the Red Earth Indian Center, the State Museum of History, and the Harn Homestead & 1889er Museum. The Henry Overholser Mansion, Oklahoma Govenor's Mansion and the Oklahoma State Capitol are "must sees".
