Durham

Durham is located in Durham County (of which it is the county seat) just northwest of Raleigh between Hillsborough and Henderson along Interstate 85 near Chapel Hill, and Falls Lake Reservoir. Durham is home to Duke Univeristy.

The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 153,513, an increase of 14,619 since 1990.

Durham is part of the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill metro area.
