Portsmouth

Portsmouth is located in Rockingham County. It is between the Miane and Massachusetts state lines in southeast New Hampshire along Interstate 95 on the banks of the Piscataqua River near Dover and Durham. Portsmouth is situated on a tidal inlet and the city began as a seaport.

Portsmouth is part of the Portsmouth-Rochester metro area.
