By November the rails had crossed the North Platte River and the town of "North Platte" became a reality.
Popular attractions in North Platte include: Scout's Rest Ranch (home of Buffalo Bill Cody), North Platte Canteen Display, Lincoln County Historical Museum and the Cody Park Railroad Museum.
