Hills Region

The Hills Region of Mississippi, located in the northeast portion of the state, spans from the edge of the Delta to the Appalacian foothills. These foothills make a tranquil setting of rock outcroppings, dense woodlands and streams.

History buffs will enjoy the Corinth area where most of Mississippi's Civil War battles were fought. These battlefields have been preserved, as have the nearby antebellum mansions of Holly Springs. The city of Oxford, which boasts an aura of Southern culture, is home to the University of Mississippi

Another claim to fame of the region is the fact that Elvis Presley was born in Tupelo, and the house in which he grew up still stands here.
