Sterling Heights

Sterling Heights is located in Macomb County, just north of Detroit between Pontiac and St Clair Shores along Interstate 75 on the banks of the Detroit River near Anchor Bay and Lake St Clair.

The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 124,339, an increase of 6,529 since 1990.

Sterling Heights is part of the Detroit, Michigan metro area.

Sterling Heights has the Municipal park system and the Dollier-Galinee County Park. There are two stables that provide horseback riding and there are also five golf courses. There is also shopping in the Lakeside Mall. The main attractions in Sterling Heights are the Premier Club, which is a nightclub that features national stars and the Ethnic Festivals.

Sterling Heights was established on July 1, 1968 and is the third largest city in the State of Michigan by area.
