Marshall

Marshall is in Calhoun County (of which it is the county seat), and in the West-Southwest Region. You can find this community south of Lansing between Battle Creek and Jackson along Interstate 94 near the Battle River and Cedar Lake.

Marshall is part of the Kalamazoo-Battle Creek, Michigan metro area.

Marshall is best known for its historic preservation of Victorian homes and turn-of-the-century architecture in the downtown area. Marshall is also the home of Isaac Crary, the father of the Michigan public school system, who helped write the Michigan Constitution in 1835.

Marshalls economy continues to grow, supported by manufacturing and services including electronics, auto parts, insurance, as well as tourism, small businesses, specialty shops and fine restaurants.
