Palatine

Palatine, incorporated in 1866, is located in northeastern Illinois in northwestern Cook County north of Schaumburg abutting Arlington Heights to the east and about 5 miles east of Barrington. The population estimate for 2000 was 65,500.

The city is home to Harper College, a community college offering continuing education to the area.
