Elmhurst

Elmhurst is located in northeastern Illinois in DuPage County just west of Chicago along Interstate 290 about 20 miles inland from Lake Michigan. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 43,505, an increase of 1,476 since 1990.

Social highlights include "ElmFest" in mid-June and the "Garden Walk and Faire" in Wilder Park in mid-July.

The city is the home of Elmhurst College, a 4-year institution of higher learning.
