Northern Region

The big waters of Pend Oreille, Coeur d'Alene, and Priest Lake, set against lush evergreen mountains, make up Idaho's Northern Region. When the glaciers of the last great ice age melted, they left a wonderland of lakes, mountains, rivers, and fertile valleys, making way for sightseeing wonders and a myriad of recreational playgrounds.

Comprising the counties of Boundary, Bonner, Kootenai, Shoshone, and Benewah, North Idaho contains the great concentration of lakes in any Western state.
