Central Region

Famed for its spectacular mountains and wild rivers, this is the heart of Idaho. Here you will find the Sawtooth Mountains, known as "America's Alps," and the Lost River Range, the highest in Idaho.

The Snake and Salmon rivers provide some of the wildest and most exciting river adventures anywhere. The ski resort at Sun Valley was America's first, and dates back to 1936.
