Vero Beach

Vero Beach is located in Indian River County north of West Palm Beach between Sebastian and Fort Pierce along Hwy 1 near the Atlantic seacoast.

Some of the treasure from Vero beach is literally gold and silver. In the 16th and 17th centuries Spanish treasure ships sank off Vero's shore. The McLarty Museum, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, provides a "wealth" of information on local treasure.

In addition to its beaches and waters for swimming, scuba diving, boating, fishing, and other water sports, Indian River County's parks offer countless opportunities for recreation and enjoying the out of doors. Eighteen golf courses allow for all levels of play, and tennis facilities are widely available.
