Central Region

The Central Region of Florida offers a variety of places to go and things to do. These include The Magic Kingdom and Universal Studios, as well as 11 State parks and reserves. The Ocala National Forest is home to the largest sand pine forest in the world. Nearby, are more than 450 horse farms, some of them offering guided tours.

In Sebring you'll hear the thunderous roar of hot rods and autos, and in the Kissimmee area, attend championship rodeos several times a year. The

Central Region boasts many fine museums, one of the largest being the Polk Museum of Art in Lakeland. It houses a permanent exhibit of pre-Columbian artifacts as well as many other rotating exhibits. Cypress Gardens displays a fantastic panorama of flowers, and many citrus groves and vineyards offer tours and samples.
