Ponte Vedra Beach is located in St. Johns County just south of Jacksonville between Jacksonville Beach and St Augustine along Hwy A1A on the banks of the Tolomato River near the Atlantic coastline. Ponte Vedra Beach is part of the Jacksonville, Florida metro area.

Ponte Vedra Beach's 40 foot sand dunes are the highest in Florida, and from their summit race down to white sand beaches made from Appalachian quartz and ancient coquina.
