Branford

Branford is located in New Haven County just southeast of New Haven between East Haven and Guilford along Interstate 95 near Long Island Sound. Yale University was founded in Brandford and during the Revolutionary War Branford's salt produced meat for the army.

First settled in 1644, by families from Wethersfield, it would take forty-one years to be incorporated from New Haven. Primarily residential today, Branford's greatest single asset is the shoreline.

Local attractions include: Griffins Pond, Branford River, Pine Orchard, Branford Harbor, and Farm River State Park. Also beautiful New Haven is nearby were there is shopping.
