Vail

Vail, population over 4,500, is located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains near the Continental Divide, in the White River National Forest.

Incorporated in 1964, this small town is constructed in the style of an alpine village and offers a unique pedestrian system. Vail also boasts the largest free transit system in the country, which connects other areas with the central resort.

The Vail Valley offers an array of summer and winter activities just 90 miles west of Denver via Interstate 70.

Vail receives an average of 300 inches of snowfall and 300 days of sunshine each year. During the summer, concerts are held in Vail at the Ford Amphitheater. The city is the home of Colorado Community College.
