Lyons

This suburb is located north of Boulder at the junction of Highways 7 and 36. The town is bordered by outstanding red bluffs, and lies only 20 miles east of Rocky Mountain National Park. World-famous for the native rock, sandstone, Lyons has a strong stone quarry industry. Fifteen unique sandstone structures, constructed of native stone by master craftsmen between the early 1870s and 1917, qualify Lyons for a place on the National Register of Historic Places.

Lyons is part of the Boulder-Longmont, Colorado metro area.
