Greeley is the largest city in Weld County, located an hour's drive north of Denver and just 30 minutes from the Rocky Mountains Front Range.

In 1870, the community was founded under the direction of journalist Horace Greeley, who envisioned it as a temperance colony and farm cooperative.

Today Greeley, population 76,930, offers an abundant selection of indoor and outdoor recreational activities within its 580 acres of parkland. Enjoy walking and biking trails along the Poudre River Trail in Island Grove Regional Park. Nearby points of interest include the Pawnee National Grasslands where visitors can experience the prairie; a 1.5 mile walking trail is maintained as well as a 36-mile self-guided birding tour. The city is home to the University of Northern Colorado and host to one of the country's largest outdoor rodeos.
