Located just east of downtown Denver on I-70, Aurora has a population of over 275,000, making it the third most populous community in the state. The city is just 15 minutes from Denver International Airport.

The city features a municipal park that offers year-round recreational opportunities. Aurora also features three public reserviors, popular for boating, sailing, swimming, fishing, and more. Barr Lake State Park is nearby.
