This small community is located northeast of Marysville. Downieville is home to the Downieville River Inn. The Downieville area offers year round outdoor activities including world class mountain bike trails, excellent trout fishing, hiking, river rafting, gold panning, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling.
