Prince George

The fourth largest city in British Columbia, Prince George is located at the confluence of the Nechako River and Fraser River, and is surrounded by the boreal forests which form the basis of the regional economy. Prince George is rapidly becoming the capital of central B.C. For thousands of years the Carrier Sekani people have lived here; the rivers formed trade routes which extended to the coast.

The area boasts a wonderful wilderness setting, making outdoor recreation an attraction to visitors from around the world. There are great trails for hiking in the summer, or cross-country skiing in the winter. Within easy driving range of Prince George are three excellent ski hills. And there are many lakes & rivers for fly fishing.
