Powell River

This world-famous scuba Diving site contains a network of groomed hiking trails, some of which are wheelchair accessible with camping and picnicking sites. There are canoe routes through eight lakes, championship golfing, and excellent year-round salt and freshwater fishing. Attractions include the Lang Bay Salmon Enhancement Project, a museum, a historic "Townsite" for heritage buildings, and galleries and shops offering carvings, pottery, jewellery and weaving. Located along Highway 101, on the Sunshine Coast of Southwestern BC, Powell River also boasts renowned music festivals and fine services.

BC Ferries operates a connecting ferry across Strait of Georgia to Comox on Vancouver Island, as well as to Blubber Bay on Texada Island.
