Chilliwack

Known as the "City of Festivals", Chilliwack is located on the eastern end of the Fraser Valley, and is backdropped by the magnificent Mount Cheam. Year-round events include live theatre, music, dance, golf tournaments, and community fairs. Visitors can tour farms and buy fresh produce and services, see the Chilliwack Museum, or watch the Atchelitz threshermen stoke up an old steam engine. Nearby Cultus Lake Provincial Park offers wilderness camping, hiking, boat and kayak rentals, fishing and golf. Other attractions include Bridal Veil Falls, east of Highway 1 (The Transcanada Highway); Minter Gardens, exhibiting 11 theme gardens; and the Trans-Canada Waterslides at Rosedale.
