With the Gulf Shores State Park located within the city limits of Gulf Shores, the area is excellent for living and visiting.
There are many activities to do in the area including the Gulf State Park Golf Course, Zooland Animal Park, Kiva Dunes, Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club, Pirates Island Adventure Golf, and the Track Family Recreation Center.
The Fort Morgan Historic Site and the Craft Farms are some of the most popular sites to visit providing historic information to visitors to the area.
The city is located in Baldwin County (Gulf Coast Region), southeast of Mobile along Highway 59. The Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge is near to the city with the Jack Edwards Airport providing all the transportation needed to get to the area.
