Cullman

When the early settlers came to the area they intended to grow wine grapes, but found the soil better suited to corn, strawberries and sweet potatoes. From the time Cullman was settled, the people have enjoyed their rich history in the area.


The city is located in Cullman County (North Region) placing in near the Hurricane Creek Park, Sportsman Lake Park, and Bankhead National Forest. These nationally know sites are a great place to visit when in the area.
Some of the local attractions in the area are the Cullman County Museum, Clarkson Covered Bridge, and the Ave Maria Grotto. They provide all the pictures someone with a camera could ask for.
The Heritage park, North Alabama Museum of History and Fine Arts, Smith lake park, Sportsman lake park, Weiss cottage are also wonderful places to go find out new things and enjoy the day. The lakes in the area have accommodations of local rental equipment for boats, fishing, camping, and biking.
